Mexico was wonderful. We stayed at the Iberostar instead of Xpu-Ha. It was nice, but not as good as Xpu-Ha. It was better for the parents though, I am sure they would not have been OK with the lizards in the shower. On the first night there, my dad got drunk and embarrassed my mom. The next night, I think to make my mom feel better, Chris's dad got drunk and rambled. We were able to sit on the balcony in our room and see the monkeys in the trees 20 feet from us, it was REALLY neat. The picutre of the one above was one of the bigger one, he usually had another one close to his size and a smaller one with him. Very Cool! We spent most of our time eating and drinking. My god there is a lot of food!

We went to the Iberostar on Cozumel for snorkeling. Seeing my parents and Chris's in the giant flippers was a treat. Chris's dad took about 5 steps and then took his flippers off and headed to the bar.

Me, Chris, and my dad went on a 4-hour fishing trip. It started off bad, when the cab driver didn't know where we were going, then after driving for about 30 minutes, my dad handed me the receipt to show the boat was paid for and I noticed the date was for the next day! Of course, it is all the tour guides fault, not my dads, so when we get to "Captain Rick’s", my dad is cursing and swearing, the Mexican speaking people who worked there just looked at us like we were nuts. I guess they could sense we were testy and gave us a bigger boat at half price. We caught very little. Chris and dad caught fairly large Barracudas. I must say though 4 hours is WAY to long to sit in 100-degree heat in the ocean.

Overall, the trip was wonderful! It was a little weird to have all four parents telling us to go work on the grandkids for them though!!! No pressure or anything, just have them here by July 16, 2005…
