Doctor's Appointment

I went to the doctor today. I am 1 cm dialated. The doctor scheduled me for another appointment on Thursday. I will have another exam and if it does not look like the baby will be here by 10-17 which is her due date, they will schedule to induce me. Because with gestational diabetes, they don't want you to carry the baby longer than the due date. When the doctor said they would induce me, I almost passed out from fear. HOLY CRAP, I am not only going to have a baby to take care of, I am going to GIVE birth very very soon. I realize that I am a little late with this, but can I do this???
