My best friends ex was arrested tonight for murdering his live in girlfriend. He shot her in front of his three kids with a shotgun. Police spent hours looking for him. It was on every radio and news station in the area. Police with assault rifles were searching for him. They finally found him tonight. Sadly, they did not shoot him. Now he will claim insanity or some ridiculous thing and be put in a mental ward for five years and be released to do it again.

I am so sorry your friend and their family have to go through this. I'm glad they caught him so quickly. Were the kids his & your friend's, or another woman? I hope they are safe now.
The kids that were there were his kids with the woman he killed. The ring bearer from my wedding is also one of his many kids. Today they had him on the news crying and saying he didn't mean to do it. He didn't mean to point a rifle at her face and pull the trigger and then drag her to the garage. Then the paper said they were not sure if it would be 1st or 3rd degree. It is ridiculous.
Holy shit. Ican't say how messed up that is. Good thing your friend got away from him!!! Hopefully his life will be very miserable from now on. I extremely bad for those kids.
